Community Construction Project

This project is generally undertaken for the development and up-keeping of the communities in Cambodia. The programs primarily intend to assist in building more restrooms, wells, roads and bridges in the most remote areas of Cambodia. One of the main participations was on June 17, 2013 when MJQ Community Service Project inaugurated the construction and maintenance of a road in Kandal province. The project has seen to multiple wells and individual houses which had been victims of unfortunate fire or other accidents, etc. in the remote areas of the country. Originally called the Community Services Project, it was established during 2004. But in 2019, the Mengly J. Quach Foundation team studied and changed the name of the Community Service Project to another new project, Community Infrastructure Construction Project, and was officially approved for use by Oknha Dr. Quach Mengly, Executive Director of the Mengly J. Quach Foundation on June 11, 2019. Since 2004, the Mengly J. Quach Foundation has made many great achievements related to the construction and improvement of community infrastructure, such as the construction of the temple ceiling, the construction of the pagoda gate, the construction of a common stupa, the construction of a community pond, the construction of a throne in the hall and the support of 207 Square Meters painting in Chronok commune, Kampong Leng district, Kampong Chhnang province. In 2013, the Mengly J. Quach Foundation, together with the local authority in Reak Chey commune, Ba Phnom district, Prey Veng province, built a bridge 18 meters long and 4 meters wide, as well as built 13 toilets for the villagers and built 3 water wells. Also, the Mengly J. Quach Foundation donated money to buy various event halls with 10 tables and 100 chairs for community use. In 2019, the Mengly J. Quach Foundation undertakes a project to build community infrastructure with a total of 3,764 beneficiaries, in which the foundation has built an additional school sub-facility in Wat Thmor Kang Kep in Chronok commune, Kampong Leng district, Kampong Chhnang province. In addition, in early 2020, the foundation donated 2,000 USD to build a temple in Wat Thmor Rieng, Kampong Leng district, Kampong Chhnang province. Not only that, Mengly J. Quach Foundation also contributed to the construction of a community Buddhist hall in Sangkum Meanchey district, Kampong Chhnang province.
