Mengly J. Quach Public School
Construction Project
To improve the learning environment, constructing more school buildings has become an integral part to expand the access to education. According to the 2016 Education Congress of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, approximately 5,000 school buildings are in urgent need of renovation or replacement to new buildings. The Ministry of Education has appealed to the Prime Minister and relevant stakeholders to help rescue those school buildings. This appeal is in line with MJQ Foundation’s Public School Construction project which seeks to help in constructing and maintaining adequate school buildings in Cambodia, especially in the most remote areas. The program plans to construct or undertake the maintenance of at least one for each of the twenty-five provinces of Cambodia. On August 18, 2008, MJQF constructed and donated Thmor Kang Keb Quach Pengsang Ngin Huy Elementary School, consisting of one building with eight classrooms, two restrooms and a front yard with gated compound, to its Thmor Kang Keb Village, Chronok Commune, Kampong Leng District, Kampong Chhnang Province. On November 16, 2016, MJQ School Project inaugurated the construction of a school building named Quach Mengly Tuol Beng Primary School, at Tuol Beng Village, Krala Commune, Kampong Seam District, Kampong Cham Province. The school will have 4 classrooms, a library, and will be funded for the entire infrastructure and administration requirements under the same project. A total expense of USD 110,000 has been allocated to this project so far.
Anyway, Mengly J. Quach Foundation also have planned for building 04 stated schools in difference provinces such as Kampong Speu, Pusat, Prey Veng and also other province around Cambodia
